The Department of Computer Science in the Whitacre College of Engineering at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in Cybersecurity area to begin in Fall 2025.
Major/Essential Functions
In line with TTU's strategic priorities to engage and empower a diverse student body, enable innovative research and creative activities, and transform lives and communities through outreach and engaged scholarship, applicants should have experience working with diverse student populations at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels within individual or across the areas of teaching, research/creative activity, and service. Applicants must be able to take service duties for the department, college, and university as needed. Service duties may include program-building, as well as commitment to extra-curricular activities
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or closely related fields by the time of appointment;
- Applicants must be able to teach undergraduate and graduate core and elective courses in Computer Science;
- Applicants must have a track record of research excellence in the area of Cybersecurity, and must have clear potential to obtain external research funding for supporting PhD students
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the required qualifications, exceptionally strong applicants with current research funding for multi-year support of PhD students will be considered for Tenured Associate Professor and are strongly encouraged to apply.
