Lecturer in Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil and Chemical Engineering at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga invites applicants for a lecturer position in civil engineering beginning August 1, 2022.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess the following requirements:

MS or Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or related field, required.
Ability to teach introductory/advanced level courses in civil engineering.
Area of specialization is open, but ability to teach in the mechanics area is preferred (Vector Statics, Mechanics of Materials, Mechanics of Materials Laboratory, Soil Mechanics and Soil Mechanics Laboratory).
Willingness to engage in assisting the UTC campus in its ability to reach additional goals as specified in UTC's Strategic Plan, including a demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Possibility of summer teaching.
Renewal up to three years contingent upon candidate performance and availability of resources.

Base salary: $55,000.00 per academic year
